ODDGODS™ are the creation of Jon Phillips, a graphic designer/illustrator living in Cardiff .

Most people have someone they look up to whether it be their mum/dad, brother/sister, popstar/moviestar, there's always someone you admire, in this case “The Sports Personality” comes into the equation.

As an avid fan of rugby, during the 6 Nations 2005 Jon decided to pay tribute to one of his favourite players by creating a character dedicated to him, in this case it was Adam Jones, the tighthead prop for Wales . He printed the character onto a t-shirt and wore it out in Cardiff . The response from the general public was overwhelming, with many asking where they could get one or even have the one off his back!

The next day the wheels were set in motion, and with the help, encouragement and advice from friends, family, the WDA, and Business In Focus, Jon set up a company called “Touchline Design”, and created more “ ODDGOD ” characters. He contacted the WRU to get them onside to gain the“image rights” of the players and was put in contact with “Team Wales Rugby”, a company set-up to look after the rugby players various interests. From here “ ODDGODS ” has taken its first steps…

The ODDGODS lend themselves not just to rugby, keep your eyes peeled for further character developments in the near future…

Description of the Flag of Wales:

The flag of Wales consists of two horizontal halves - the top half is white and the bottom half is green. In the center of the flag is a red dragon.

Flag History:

The Welsh flag has been officially been recognized as the national flag of Wales since 1959, but the red dragon has been associated with Wales for hundreds of years. It is often claimed to be the oldest national flag still in use. The origin of the Welsh flag is now lost in history, rumors and myth, but a likely theory is that the Romans took the dragon emblem with them during their occupation of Britain, but it could be even older. The flag's green and white stripes were added by the House of Tudor, the Welsh dynasty that held the English throne from 1485 to 1603.
